Paul Young and the Zach thing? In yday's episode, nothing really happened - no Paul Young, no Zach - just Mike being cold and indifferent to Susan and Susan taking it.

Gabby's model pals? Well they turned up and were all shrieky and annoying and guessed Gabby was pregnant. Then it cuts to Gabby talking to Bree after they'd gone home and saying how they'd all stayed the same and she'd changed and no longer knew why she was still friends with them. (Then she went back to her house, found Betty's escaped man - Caleb - and tried to run away and fell down the stairs to be found by Bree and taken to hospital).

Susan and her ex ended up sleeping together after drinking a lot of wine. He kissed her and told her the reason why Edie broke up with him is because she found a photo of Susan that he kept under his mattress. Then he and Susan sleep together, Julie comes back in the morning and finds them in bed and is pretty p!ssed off. When Susan's ex asks what's gonna happen now with them, expecting some form of continuation, Susan is surprised and tells him she'd rather move forwards than backwards (but not in a mean way). Later she finds out that he's back with Edie. You see him at the end, slipping another photo of Susan into a book to hide.

And Betty's son said to Bree's daughter that he was looking for her, when she caught him in their garden looking for Caleb. He said that he hadn't stopped thinking about he since he first met her or something. She asked him if he'd like to ask her out - and that she'd say yes if he did, because she's mildly wh0rish like that. But I don't think you saw him asking or anything.

I hope I've got that right!

What was Bree's line about accepting George's proposal because she was polite? That was a fabulous line... anyone remember? I should really write these things down at the time.

She said 'Well, there is a downside to having good manners!'
I *loved* that bit too, I even texted Hannah at that point Big Grin hehe.

I hate George. End of.

And poor, poor Gabrielle FrownFrown Last night was the first time I've properly felt for her! I practically cried when we saw it was the scan photo she'd made Bree run back for...bless her!

Thanx Jade for the excellent recap!
Hmmm. Susan and her ex?!!! Eek He still loves her then? I feel a twinge for Edie, i really do....But just a twinge mind! Razz
I recall something else about Bree's daughter from last season...didn't she and John have a thing? How full on was there "thing?" I forget! Roll Eyes
But methinks Betty's son is putty in those hands!

I remember Gabrielle feeling jealous of Bree's daughter and John... I cant remember if they actually went out though.

I wish they'd hurry up and get on with the Betty's family story. I havent warmed to them at all.

I wonder though if Gabrielle might wrongly identify the person in the house, seeing as she didnt really see him properly... Just a theory though.

Danielle and John were friends at first and in the chastity club together (lol!) and then started dating for a while when Gabrielle broke it off with John. Then Gabrielle tried to pay for Danielle to go to modelling school so she would leave but Bree wouldn't let her.
--Then a few episodes later Danielle told Bree that she wanted to lose her virginity to John and Bree persuaded John to dump her really brutally so she would go off him. He broke up with her at Zach's pool party, remember?
That was pretty much it for that storyline.

And Fi I agree about the Betty storyline- they still don't feel properly part of the show yet to me.

I thought we were going to get more about Betty last night, seeing as we had all the stuff about her playing the piano. Grr! I am assuming now that the man in the basement is her son, although they made out like it was her husband to start with. I guess there's not point in trying to predict this programme though.

Did you see... Susan Lewis's dad is Susan's dad. Big Grin

I do love Lesley Ann Warren and she's great as Susan's mum. Smile

And finally Bree's given up on George. Did I miss her getting word on Dr Goldfine? I dont remember hearing anything. Me thinks though that we havent heard the last of George.

I know! No Dr Goldfine at all - it was crazy and rather stupid.

I thought the Gabrielle part with the balloon was very sweet.

Also, I swear that the guy who plays Caleb is always changing...

I agree about Caleb. I though he looked bigger last time. Sometimes he looks young, sometimes old. Maybe they have several people they're holding captive.

Aha, they have changed the guy once.

At first he was played by some guy called Page Kennedy up until episode 30. And then from 31, he's being played by NaShawn Kearse - according to Wikipedia.

Ouch - and the Page guy was fired for disorderly conduct.

Hmm this trivia page on Wikipedia is pretty cool - here's some more:

* Oscar-nominated British actress Miranda Richardson turned down a year-long stint in the second season of the show because "it snowballed into something that would be so disruptive", after producer Marc Cherry created a character for her, weeks after meeting her at the 2005 Golden Globe Awards. The character she was set to play was Bree's sister, inspired because of the uncanny resemblance between Richardson and Marcia Cross.

* Marcia Cross originally auditioned for the role of Mary Alice Young, but instead got the role of Bree Van de Kamp. Nicollette Sheridan (Edie) originally auditioned for the role of Bree, but Marc Cherry said it himself "She's a terrible Bree."

* When Susan fell into the cake in episode 1-5 Come In, Stranger, actress Teri Hatcher broke two ribs.

FACT!

Aww...just watched the ep tonight as had taped it..
Loved Gabby with the balloon, bless her Frown I really didn't think she would lose the baby cos had read an interview with Eva Longoria saying all the pregnancy storylines were so fun.. but I guess she just means the ones in the first few eps. Meh.
Tis a shame.

And yeah that was so weird Caleb being completely different..meh. The first one looked crazier I think. Anyway, looking forward to seeing what happens with that.

Still *loving* Tom..he is so fit! Lucky Lynette..

Ooh and HOW good does Bree look in green...beautiful!

The red balloon thing was very Rachel like. It was nice. I had hoped she would keep the baby. It was very sweet when she went over to Bree's after her friends had left and Bree said that her, Susan and Lynette had obviously had a good affect on her. I had thought she'd get more maternal. Maybe she'll want to have a baby after this... it would be good if she could make the decision herself.

Tom is great. Who wouldnt want a husband like him?

And Lynette is fabulous with the schemes she comes up with... I said earlier in the episode... "Surely kidnapping her own children to prove a point would be taking it too far". Obviously I under-estimated our Lynette. Smile

Hehe, yeah she's classic Big Grin

I know what you mean about Gabby Frown She was so sweet in the previous episode saying she had changed and stuff. But yeah, it's true it would be way better if she was pregnant through her own decision next time.

Well, I'm kind of new to this programme, but I absolutely adore it! I've seen all of the first series cos my friend has them on dvd and I've been watching the second series from about ep 7. I love it! Edie is my favourite by far though. She cracks me up every time.

Poor Bree. I am glad she found out what happened to Rex... its not how I saw that storyline going. And if George dies, it kinda ties up that storyline all in one go. I thought it would be spun out a little longer. Unless of course anyone figures out she was in the room... but she made sure she didnt leave fingerprints on the chair...

I didnt like the Lynette storyline last night. I hope the company doesnt fold.

The Hot Buns Nun or whatever Gabby called her, really wasnt that hot. And that too good to be true smile wont fool anyone for long. Again I wasnt too interested in this storyline.

It was sweet when Susan said to her dad that she'd be back. I was half expecting the wife to invite her home "While you were sleeping" style after she said she saved him.

Best moments:

Bree taking out her shotgun and shooting the speakers off Geroge's van.

Sister Mary: Money can't buy happiness.
Gabrielle: Well, sure it can. That's just a lie we tell poor people to keep 'em from rioting.

Lol-you're so right...that nun reeeeally wasn't that hot...at least nowhere near as hot as Gabrielle!! I think it's a good story though...I hope we do get to see them bitch-slap each other, hahaa.

Yeah the Lynette thing wasn't that great but at least her storylines *are* about work still..I'm sure we'll see her getting back to the kids again soon though.

LOVED Bree shooting at George..it was just done so casually Big Grin She's amazing. The bit in the lift was so sad though Frown Imagine finding out Rex could have still been alive if it wasn't for George! It sucks..
I'm sure we haven't seen the last of George yet but THANK THE LORD Dr Goldfine is alive!!

That nun was like an older version of Elisha Cuthbert. Therefore, not hot.

Loved the poker scene. And I wouldn't want to have a relationship with Susan either

Haha... I love Susan.

Don't the poker scenes always give you a warm feeling in your tummy? They do me. Especially now Edie is in on it all.
