Am I right in believing Jorja Fox aka DR Maggie Doyle was never credited in the opening for the show...was it because she didnt have enough screen time or wat? I thought it was strange as I've just been watching s4 n s5 again and she isn't credited. Also neither is Romano to begin with which I thought was strange as Carla Reese (Lisa Nicole Carson) in series 5 doesn't appear in many episodes but is credited. Any idea's why?

She never really was a main main character with direction - I mean, she just disappeared after a while because no-one really knew what to do with her.

I suppose she never made it to the credits because they were never sure how permanent a character they wanted her to be or what they wanted from her...

Didn't she leave as she was a lesbian and Romano didn't like that? I know Legaspe went later because she was a lesbian but I thought that was why Doyle went earlier....but also because they didn't know what to do with her. I think it was to play off Carter more than anything. He had no other intern to play off in the ER and to compete with or rather none that we saw. Abby, Neela and Ray in the later series could all compete with each other and work together etc, but Carter didn't really have any1 - Lucy was a med student and not his equal, but Doyle was, at least to begin with.

Dont know why Maggie left cant remember will have to re-watch. But Jorja left cos she got offered the part in the west wing. Thats my understanding of it. She was never permanent so she could do other things and she got the west wing. Big loss for ER IMO although it then did give us CSI for which I am eternally greatfull for!!!!!!

After Legaspe went, Kerry asked Romano if that's why Maggie 'left'. I dont think he answered it outright.

She was never in the opening titles but she was credited under name of Jorjan Fox.
