Ben's happy to travel around. So long as nobody looks at him funny. Or touches him. Or tries to make him wear anything that isn't black. And he might wind up shouting at you to go back to Kansas where you'll be safe, but don't take that personally.

You'll need a big room to keep him in, though, 'cause of the demons. They can take up a fair bit of space, especially when they're exercising.

Smile

My lounge is pretty big, you know. Big enough, I'd say. And the kitchen...that's big, too. Pretty big garden for the demons to run ragged, too. So, uh, can I adopt him for a while? As my stand-in big brother?

Well... okay then. But you will need a good supply of water, 'cause of the recent tendency towards pyromania, and all the explosions of the pretty psychic fireworks.

Click here my little friends. And be happy.

At the moment it looks like it. Which means that the stories will progress painfully slowly. And some of them are painfully slow with five episodes a week! But it's better than nothing.

So can we all pat each other on the back for persisting with the harrassing and the whatnot?

I guess so. Stay in practice, though, 'cause they've only bought the first year, and given the slot it's been bumped to, it's highly unlikely they'll buy anymore. Unless 'encouraged' to. Politely, of course! Big Grin

...And we all know that Mickey's too polite for his own good, eh?! Wink (Joking, really! Razz)

No, but that is good news. It's better than nothing, but, I have to ask, will we see Derek in that time? Wink

If they show the first year of episodes, no. Terror Island was when Derek first appeared, and that was the second year. I'm pretty sure Ben gave the island to Meg on New Year's Eve. We may well get some of Ben's pre-Derek headaches, though, which should nicely leave the series with him looking like a total madman again, just as it did when they axed it last week!

Or I guess some of the Ben scenes could be Derek. It was never very clear early on.

Derek was wonderful. Even if he did do nasty things to Ben, he made up for it by doing nasty things to Meg, too. Smile

He had a lousy ending, though. In my little world he survived, and came back later.

No, the basement where he had Ben chained up all those months just before the show was axed.

Oh...No, I don't remember that. I only remember the cliff, with the cabin...And the scene when Ben pushes him over, and then caves, pulling him back up. Everything after that's a blur. Roll Eyes

That's a good exit to remember. At least then coming back wasn't a problem.

When they knew the show was being axed, they decided to kill Derek off. Bad idea! He had Ben chained up in a basement, and he kidnapped Maria as well and put her down there too. Maria was just tied up, so Ben was able to get her free, and told her to run, as he couldn't get out of the chains. Suddenly Derek was at the top of the stairs, and - ?! - Ben is free. Roll Eyes They had a fight, and there was either a gun or a knife, I don't remember which. Either way Derek ended up dead. Personally I like to pretend that Ben lied when he said he was dead, and Derek snuck off somewhere. Big Grin If the show had carried on, Susan Ward would have left, so Derek could have killed Meg, and then I'd have been happy. Smile

Good old Derek. Okay, so he was a psychotic mass-murdering maniac. But you've gotta love him. Smile I just wish they hadn't tried to tie up all the loose ends concerning him before the show ended. It just didn't make any sense, that he and Tess were Benjy's parents! Maria had to be the mother, or nothing else worked. Derek could be a contender for his father, yes. That would have made some nice plot possibilities, for when Meg had left, and Ben and Maria were trying to make a go of it again.

All those lies and secrets and the rest, though. You can't just explain away the Evans boys in a couple of episodes before the show gets axed, and then hope nobody will be left with stars in their eyes, shaking their heads in confusion and saying "Huh?!"

Looking at it from another perspective, the whole show was always confusing; so what better way to end it than to take the confusion to a whole new level?

No! It was wrong! Razz Ben (or Derek) and Maria were Benjy's parents. And how Maria managed to bond with the kid if she'd honestly spent the last five years drugged in Derek's back room is a matter for constant befuddlement.

They shouldn't have axed it, damn it!
