I only like christmas from Dec 1st, anythign before that does my nut in, I hate it, christmas should just be kept for December cos the it makes it more special and stuff-ness. But saying that, i went to Nottingham a few weeks ago in November and I felt SO christmassy! Walking through Nottingham city centre with their cute christmas lights and the weather being all cold and wintery...ahhh it was so good! But I felt so wrong after...but now it's k to like christmas cos we're in December.
Going to Stratford on Thursday and I can't WAIT for all the christmassy feelings to come. We've already planned on singing 'All I want For Chrsitmas Is You' (The Mariah version) on the coach home. Heee heeee! I just love christmas with friends at school and going places that make you feel all 'in the spirit'. I just hate the traditional 'family christmas' cos it grates on me the fact that whenever Oliver is on the Tv my dad is always chuffing snoring! HOW CAN YOU SNORE THROUGH OLIVER DAMNIT?!
*takes a deep breath* Anyways.....get those christmas spirit juices flowing people cos..........Hhhhhhhhhholidays are coming. Holidays are coming. Holidays are coming................
==================== No we're never gonna survive unless we get a little crazy.....
YAY! fellow xmas lovers! i have just been emptying the dishwasher to "let it snow..." i can't wait for xmas... but i love the whole xmas atmosphere before! it is just so lovely!
ýou know actually one thing i love about xmas. the cheesy family moives. i know they aren't anything special in film terms but i love all the films they have on at xmas. i still love watching Home Alone at xmas and all the other cheesy films from my childhood...

I'm with Ria, Christmassy feelings can only start on Dec 1st. That sounds slightly Nazi, but anything before is just WRONG!
I'm still to feel really in the festive spirit, but give me some spirits and I'm there . I'll probably get more into it next week and when I do more shopping and start wrapping presents.
Holidays are coming, holidays are coming....(yes, I have seen that ad. The OFFICIAL Christmas advert.)

Hey! I live in Nottingham! They're totally remodelling the Market Square so no big tree this year
Every year we go to the candle-lit Advent service in St Mary's in The Lace Market and, usually about a week later to "Messiah" - and then Christmas is officially ON!
We have a rule (OK, I have a rule - but as I organise the whole Christmas thing my rules, erm, rule) that decorations don't go up more than a week before 25th and we all go to buy a tree as neat to Christmas day as we can.
I share everyone's feelings of annoyance about Christams Cards being in the shops from August or something. I understand why everyone gets so jaded by the whole thing. There should be a law about Christmas shop windows and merchandise - nothing before the middle of November.

Aww I'm not going to be able to sing the Messiah this year. It does put me in a christmasy mood.
Mind you, much as I love Christmas... there are better things.
I'm awaiting for the Rotary Club to come round our street and then I'll feel all festive!
I got a Xmas party next week, my exams will be finished (well till Jan!) I hate working at Xmas though, Primark is just crazy and people are just so moody!!

Lex: Trust me, Clark. Our friendship is going to be the stuff of legend
I'm using up all the holiday days I have left so that I don't have to come in to work between Christmas and New Year. I was going to save them so I could avoid working *too* much over January, but dammit, I want a decent holiday this Christmas!

I have to work on xmas eve 'cos it's a Saturday. So we don't get paid extra either. Sucks.
