I am one of those aforementioned smug AS Levelers.
Oh, and I had such a fun time last night with my friends after they finished their exams. And I laugh at alllll of you!
No, but really - I have to go back to school on Tuesday and start writing my personal statement and looking at universities - you just get a gloriously long summer, guys.

Medicine - no idea where. Wherever'll have me! Wherever there is a pretty lively town/city and a university for me to go to. I wish I was more particular - it's making choosing them really, really hard.

Ah medicine. I might do that after my undergrad degree, if i get a 2:1 or first and all. Cool. Well make sure it's an area u like as u'll be there for 5 yrs.

Mhmm - yeah, I've been making sure of that for a while. I'm sure now. I wouldn't have decided to do it if I ever thought I didn't fully want to - it's just not the kind of profession or degree you can do half-heartedly well, I reckon.
Ok. I'm doing history. But i would've done medicine only i didn't get grades. some unis like mine, offer graduate degree in medicine - 4 yrs, and i don't need a science degree to do it, but it is competative. I'll try to get on but if not, its a life of history related stuff for me, museum work, archaeology stuff etc, which would still be cool. Enjoy ur couscous. Oh and big cities are good for night life and usually have big hospitals with specialist areas nearby.

Okay fine - I'm gonna...do things to cous cous. But that sounds dirty. I just cut some cucumber and spring onions... Thought you'd all like to know.
Hey cool - how is history? Ah all medicine is wildly competitive, so I'm told. I guess I'll just have to be really, really good. Actually yeah - since this is a big exams and suchlike thread - does anyone have any unis they're gonna recommend?
I mean, honestly, I'm so easily won over by everything I see that it makes choosing very hard. I just want to go and have fun - that's it. I don't care if it's a campus uni, if it's got any kind of weird clubs in it or anything.

I was won over a lot by all the different uni's too. I'm at Swansea (we have a beach here), which is an ok uni, but no undergrad medical school. There's Manchester - I know someone doing medicine there, and she enjoys it, if finding it a little hard at time, but we're both from the north west so its convient for her. As for anywhere else, I'm not sure sorry. And histor yis good, very good actually, but then im biased....But next year, in my year 2, i'm doing a module Medicine and Society 1500-1979, which basically looks at changes to medicine in those years, and it looks at madness, child birth etc, and in third year there is a module called, Hospitals in History 1800-1948, which looks at different hopsitals - just thought i'd share that!

Hey cool - that sounds like it'd actually be quite interesting. I liked History - I was never amazing at it, but I liked it all the same.
I'm currently a bit hooked on the idea of Brighton and Sussex Medicial school cos I know someone going there and they're having fun, but I've got three other places to fill - and then two other options in another subject...

I spend 23 hours a day wondering whether we’re wrong for each other, wondering whether the baggage we both bring would be enough to sink a small ship...But in the 24th hour, I realise I’ve been thinking about her for 23 hours and it always comes back to, there's something about her that I can’t stay away from. Something about her, that makes me wanna…love her.

Cool for Brighton and Sussex and do look at Edinburgh. But go wherever you want. Its a tricky decision i know. what are u other two subjects going to be? Something scientific like biology, or Biochemistry or Biomedical sciences? Or another science or something completely different?
