well if they used to be your best friend at some stage you must have gotten on pretty well. so can you not put whatever happened behind you and get back to how things were when you were best friends? do you want to be friends with this person again?

Do you know what happened to the boy who suddenly got everything he ever dreamed of? He lived happily ever after.
I'd advise getting in touch before meeting up and being up front about it; say you hope that s/he has put whatever caused the split behind him/her and if s/he wants to meet up you'd be happy to do that on that basis. You really need to work out some ground rules before meeting - either in a letter or via e-mail, and if it's necesary for you both to understand the break, then get to the bottom of it before you set eyes on each other.
Don't expect things to be like they used to though, because they probably won't! It's a god thing though, you have a chance to start over now!
Spreading the Carby Love
I spend 23 hours a day wondering whether we’re wrong for each other, wondering whether the baggage we both bring would be enough to sink a small ship...But in the 24th hour, I realise I’ve been thinking about her for 23 hours and it always comes back to, there's something about her that I can’t stay away from. Something about her, that makes me wanna…love her.
