I feel sorry for Ames too, but you're right: Luka is not to blame. In terms of allowing us to feel empathy for both sides, I think ER is doing it really well. I think the Ames storyline has been a good one and an interesting one for Luka. It's bringing the medicine back into ER which is nice to see yet this week, we saw it affect his personal life too. I like this storyline.

i thought this was a really good ep, id been starting to get bored over the last few weeks.

i felt really bad for ray when he saw neela and gates, and i felt bad for morris throughout.

thought the DID patient was a great story line, really good. at one point morris mentioned that he was in the hospital a load up to 1996, i was tryin to think if we saw the character at all in early series, but i dont think we did, that would have been good. both morris and sam did a really good job with him!

I actually liked Sam in this episode. She was really good with the DID guy, who was an excellent actor as well.

I was disappointed with Neela. And why is she wearing high heels as a surgeon? Who could wear them all day walking about?!

WRT the whole Sam shouting at Hope thing- I really don't think what Hope did was that serious. (And Kerry's rection to it proved that) sure, if she'd lied about something big Doug-Ross stylee Sam's reaction would have been fair but I just think she over-reacted slightly. Hope is new after all.

Anyway, saw the ending last night...loved loved LOVED the last scene with Morris and 'Andre'. Absolutely beautiful, classic ER. They've still got it!!

Also really hoping Morris and Hope will get together- he deserves a romance storyline now! (no spoilers please!)

A very good and interesting episode.

It's great to see focus on one patient again and the guy who played Willis/Clyde/Andre was fantastic. Even though for a moment I thought we might have a Paul Sobriki situation again

The Sam/Morris interaction with him was great - from annoyance to great sympathy. It's the first time we've really seen Morris have a hunch; and even though we didn't see if he was right, it was good to see him be there for this troubled man.

Sam shouting for Clyde was great. LC really seems to do those high drama scenes really well.

Sam shouting at Hope - I didn't see it as a big deal and I don't think Sam or Hope will dwell on it. Sam was just saying that her ar5e is on the line too - but Hope has an the consent on an attending. Plus, the nurses like to pull rank on the newbies from time to time

Neela and Gates: The only pointless scene in the hour

Loved the Abby/Luka nanny scenes (How cute is Joe, btw ) Her reaction to the 'they call me mom within 3 weeks' lady was the best. MT's comic timing was on top form.

As for Ames....didn't he and Luka have to face the press after the case? This means that Abby must know what he looks like. Anyhoo, that's not important - I hope he doesn't hold the frog hostage! All joking aside, it seems he's upto no good.

Oh, and I loved Morris diving in the bin

yeh this was a really good episode - one of the best yet this series ii think.

i also really liked that Morris got a serious storyline for once, because although i do think he can be funny - he still annoys me a bit - but this week he was really good. i didn't like the way Ray reacted to the double doctor thing - because surely Morris is his superior, and he should learn from him etc.
i thought Sam was amazing with the DID patient - and with Morris actually. initially though i thought she was a bit nasty to the patient - chucking the gown at him - but when she realised how to switch between pesonalities and talk about them to him i thought that was really quite moving!

And more classic Luka and Abby moments in this epi yey - they're my favourtite bits
luka is so cute with baby Joe sitting on his lap! and the nanny thing was quite comical - especially when that (Russian?) woman came into the hospital looking for Dr Kovac and every1 looked at abby! lol

regarding Neela - i also thought that was a bit uncomfortable rather than hot - her kissing Gates. it didn't really look very natural.

i'm quite surprised how long the Ames stroyline is going on for - it must mean there is something big(ish) coming up, to finish it off. i think anyway.

Why was the episode called jigsaw though? putting pieces together or something?

I agree it is going on for quite a while with Ames but possibly because it is such a big star (Forest Whitaker) they wanted to use him as much as possible!

My guess with Jigsaw is a reference to all the personalities thing- they make up the different parts of that character.

And watching the episode a second time on Sunday I so agree about Neela looking totally uncomfortable kissing Gates- it was awful!
She is getting more beautiful with ever episode though!

yeh Parminder Nagra is so pretty! she's come along way from tomboy in bend it like Backham lol (not that she looked bad then).

Yeah, I noticed that too. And she was wearing like, a pretty dress too. It's just not very realistic.
I do like Neela and Gates though.
