Well my sis and me think she is highly over rated and cant act a damn...Parminder Nagra deserved the soptlight more for her turn in BITB but who got to be a star? and for a below par performance too!
But the thing we most hate about her is that she is dating the fit guy from Bodyrockers( no not the lead singer.... )

Hate her! She, IMO, is too over-rated, wooden and too thin! (Yes, I know we shouldn't judge on that) I just hate her.

well... i'm not sure.. i like a lot of the films she has been in and i tihnk sometimes she is a good actress but sometimes she cane quite annoying... but i haven't seen her in pride and prjudice yet because it's only just come out... i'll let you know when i've seen that... for the moment, i doN't really mind her as much as other people seem to.

I don't like her eyebrows....

So....the Knightley debate finally gets it's own thread!

Well, there's an old saying: "One swallow doesn't make a summer" and one good performance in P&P doesn't make a good actress, espeically when it's followed by Domino! Who the hell cast her in that?! Who thought Keira Knightley could do bounty hunter?! Crazy! A role that is laughably out of her depth.

In BILB she wasn't the lead actress, Parminda was, but Keira was the media darling and that's when it all started. The obession with her.

PotC - absolute shite, and if it wasn't for Depp being amazing, more people would have thought so.

The Jacket - didn't see it, but the American accent (you know I had to mention it, Ria! ) was crap and...quite laughable really.

Love Actually - quite annoying, but didn't do a lot. I was too busy focussing on the Emma Thompson story (now, there is a proper actress!)

In short, she is a supporting actress at most. P&P aside, she cannot handle lead roles, and she CANNOT play tough women. She hasn't got it in her.

As a person, she seems really nice and unaffected by fame. If people left her alone to grow as an actress, she may be better. She's the ultimate case of 'too much too soon'.

Oh, and by the way. Orli Bloom is the male version of Keira Knightley. Much fuss over limited talent.

I agree with the Orlando Bloom thing..but not the Keira Knightley bit[s]. But it's your opinion..

Dont much fancy that Bloom bloke either!! He has yet to impress me...i prefer actors who are less well known but have the talent...ie Kevin Mckidd( awesome in Gunpowder, Treason + Plot) and who is starring in the up coming Rome saga. Also Ioan Gruffyd, Hugh Dancy, Jamie Draven and so many more. Bloom has a pretty face with nothing to back it up with. You just need to see the dogs dinner he made of Kingdom Of Heaven to prove that.

I want to like Keira Knightley as an actress - believe me, I do! But how can I when she is so poor in most of her movies?

P&P she was great - I loved her. But she's not consistant by any stretch of the imagination (this is where so people say: "She is consistant. Consistantly poor!") so I'm just going to have to judge her film by film - which is only fair. In my opinion, she is well below par so far. But she's young and will be around for a while, so I'll give her a fair go!
