without water we would cease to exist, so, a world without water is a world without pain, suffering, war, religion, hate, crime .....etc, etc, etc; hey, it's starting to sound pretty good
The earth is covered by approximately 72% water, in the form of oceans, lakes and rivers. Purification is achievable... one part of the problem solved The primary problem is politics. There's more than enough money circulating the globe to end all poverty immediately but the "illuminati" like to play the power & control game! That's why there will always be poverty and drought in the world, sad but true.

Read somewhere that Libya is extracting water from deeper and deeper boreholes (understandably since they are a poor and arid country), and that this may eventually divert the Nile, causing catastrophe to Egypt.
Also that many farms in Goa have failed because selfish tourists insist on having swimming pools etc, even though it is an area with very little rainfall, so the scarce water is pumped away from the farmlands and into the hotels.
The further you go down into the Earth's crust the more water there is, it is generally about the 2000c mark so there is the problem of the minerals held in solution at great pressures instantly coming out of solution with the superheated steam and immediately blocking the borehole. If you are not careful that is.
