There are no 4x4's on the moon or mars!!?? So whats up. I guess our CO2 emissions are so bad we're effecting over planets now!!

I suppose you think that thousands of eminent scientists are kicking themselves at this very minute, thinking "oh why didn't I think of that".

Or perhaps you are conspiracy theorist and think that they are huddled in a dark room saying "damn if it wasn't for those pesky kids we would have gotten away with it."

Robbie Writer to have a valid debate sometimes we should at least attempt to see the other persons point of view Chris Africa is only giving an opinion as he/she sees it. Dont just accept the establishments view there are eminent scientists on both sides.

Yes but what makes me laugh, the debate is been happening for years and more and more scientists have come to the view that modern climate change is man-induced.

Many sceptics posting totally ignore that fact that these scientists have looked at all the factors the sceptics mention and have still decided that CO2 is the main cause.

A valid debate should at least recognise that. Whereas I think you will find that many of the sceptics have posted suggesting that this is all some sort of conspiracy to raise taxes, which is ludicrous, if for no other reason, a conspiracy needs to be keep secret, and it would be impossible to keep thousands of scientist from breaking this apparent conspiracy.

It comes down to paranoia. What I say is don't tar people with the same brush. There probably is some scientists in it purely for the money but many are in it for the good of mankind. And they are trying to warn us, they have been trying to warn us for decades.

I'm trying to make the point that if we focus too much on our immediate / easily accessible points of information we probably miss the whole picture. Plus who are these eminent scientists, I guess a lot are followers rather than leading edge scientists. I think most who have looked into this, or read about it wouldn’t disagree that GW is happening. The issues are; what is responsible, to what extent will it continue and what will be the impact.

All the avenues have to be progressed honestly prior to whipping humanity into frenzy about their roll in GW. For example even the Sunday Times had a section on GW giving “your typical” scenarios of the impacts – they actually had 1/3 of the planet desert with the remainder underwater. And anyone you survived that had to deal with fireballs falling from the skies. This is simple hysteria – adding to the media frenzy in grabbing attention.

John Redwood's blog said "A recent news item has told us visits to Mars by space probes detect “global” warming there, but have not yet discovered the 4 x 4 s causing it"

so it must be true. Or is he trying to deflect attention from the influence of the aliens?
