I was impressed by the evidence presented by some entirely believable individuals who clearly had concern for those on the planet who do not benefit from modern technology. In contrast many who aggressively take up the popular cause continue to benefit from the comforts that modern society affords us whilst denying those luxuries to others. Everyone recognises that we are very wasteful and that it is a good thing to reign back on profligate waste of resources but we don't all have to subscribe to, or further, the doomsday scenario which is being predicted, often quite hysterically by the popular global warming lobby. My concern is that it was recently found that many children now carry around with them a genuine fear for their future and this is being fuelled by what, as yet, is an unproven theory.We owe it to our children and future generations to consider the effects of our actions on the environment but we need to keep an open mind and have a serious debate based on facts and evidence and not merely on supposition.
