I was shocked and upset to witness the horrendous, alarming cries, then extremely cruel slaughter of a helpless pig on what appeared to be a completely unrelated documentary on Channel 4 last night. I feel it was completely irrelevant to the documentary and was an entirely unnecessary act to even perform.Which then prevented me from watching what I thought was going to be an interesting documentary.
Well, i do understand your point but i think maybe if you had watched the programme your concern about the pig would probably have faded in comparison to the suffering of Huan, the subject of the programme. His condition and incredible bravery and his courageous spirit put perspective on most of our concerns. He was an amazing man and tho Channel 4 gives these programmes sensational titles, after 5 mins of watching all you care about is the person underneath the disability. I hope he will recover or at least find a relief from pain and if he has anymore operations, that they will be a success. The importance of his loving family was shown. The Chinese operating theatre was not too sophisticated and though the surgeons did a good job, the techniques seemed rather chaotic and the bloodshed was worse than that of the pig. He seemed to come round too quick after the operation: hope to God he had masses of painkillers afterwards though it wasn't mentioned. I believe in animal rights also and i agree the slaughter of the pig was wrong but I believe this fact was overshadowed by the importance of the programme and Huan's moving story. May God be with him.
