Well, I mean, I am just curious as to folks views on this subject. When I worked in the lab, my technicians said it just ends. Stops. but in the forums, people draw Angel for dead people, assuming that they fly off somewhere. Is it the same for cats too, or was my carer right and it will just be the end? I wonder what the place for people would be like if there were no cats and the dead person happened to like cats. (I am pondering this subject because i have been quite poorly and all my fur fell out) ??

You are clearly taking note of the epidemic of recycling... I do hope that by encouraging the birds to the middle of the road they don't get splatted by a lorry, as then their would be fewer for me to chase whilst i am still alive and hunting. Nod

Incidentally, besides the physical flesh and bones. do the birds eat the soul too or is that gone already? If it's already gone, where to?

Little cat. Please don't believe everything people say to you. They are not like cats. They have fantasies and imaginations way beyond what a sane cat would consider normal.

I have an opinion, but it is just mine and you can choose to go with it or dismiss it. You have a choice. This is my idea ->

What I think really happens is that you live on in other's memories. you hope that people remember you for all eternity for your best qualities and the happy times you had. That to me is heaven. If you are remembered as a cruel person/bad cat, that will continue for ever and that would be your hell.

So if you think this is the truth, continue to be nice to friends and warm and caring and love them. Then when your time comes you will be remembered for all those things and all the fun you brought to them. You will be always a happy memory then. It will be heavenly for you.

To the best of my knowledge, cats are part of the same reincarnation loop that we are in. However, reincarnation is a strange thing, it's not as simple as finding a new cat to be.

several faiths see reincarnation as a form of reward system, with a cat potentially granted eventual human status for good behaviour, but I think this is more about controlling humans with fear than reality since as we all know, cats live a far more enlightened existence than we humans already.

Conversely, many pagan beliefs see the cat as a being of a higher state of conciousness; witchraft for example.

Following a millenia of reincarnation, I guess its perfectly possible for a cat conciousness to attain ascension to a higher level of conciousness like the rest of us ;o)

There are several uses for dead cats. They make quite good draught excluders for a while, & quite impressive door stops.
With the correct fitting of an appropriate lenght of broom handle they make good window & floor mops. Plus, if you attach a flexible rod they will go right round the u-bend for toilet cleaning.
The list is not exhaustive. If I think of anything else I will post it.

Do people do that? would think it would be quite stinky? I heard something on radio 2 this morning about someone having hundreds of dead cats stuffed in a freezer. how odd! I wonder if they had stolen them. Some kind of cat burgler?
