It is with this subject that I have to side with the anti AGW lobby. It is a clear example of how AGW has been hijacked by opportunists to make money, potentially at huge cost in terms of environmental degradation. eOn appear to hate wind farms in Germany where they have to run the grid (see their annual wind report) but love them in the UK where they get huge subsidies. Where exactly is the benefit if conventional power stations have to remain up and running as backup and become less efficient as a result?

I agree with you, Seskinreay - but there are more than just two "sides" to this debate. I don't particularly want to be forced into either one camp or the other, simply because it is more complicated than that. I've never been able to support main green lobby groups (ie, Greenpeace or FOE) because of that one little thing that they won't endorse. Maybe one day...
