Here's what the World Meteorological Organization Info Note actually said:-

For the World Meteorological Organization read the UN, or better still the IPCC.

Did you honestly expect them to say anything that did not support their case?

Mums can put the tissues away now!

Another example of a pig-brained over-enthusiastic warmist thrusting their beliefs down people’s throats was exposed last week on Canada’s ‘National Post’ website in an article entitled ‘Wikipedia’s Zealots’. Excerpt follows:

quote:

By patrolling Wikipedia pages and ensuring that her spin reigns supreme over all climate change pages, she has made of Wikipedia a propaganda vehicle for global warming alarmists.

I have posted the link here, but of course it may disappear:

The Watts Up With That? Website have published a handy web page that flashes between the BBC article before and after the intervention of 'climate activist' Jo Abbess.

Link below:

bbc before and after

HOW DOES THE BBC MOVE FORWARD AFTER THIS SELF INFLICTED CREDIBILITY WOUND?

Hopefully Jo won't try to use her enormous power over the once respected, publicly funded organisation to make them report that black is white or that the world is in terrible danger from giant caterpillars.

The BBC long ago gave up their political impartiality over the subject of global warming - they have hung their credibility on a shaky nail hammered in by the IPCC. Yet shockingly they are only one of a large number of well established organisations that may collapse if in ten years time world temperatures are still sticking their tongues out at the IPCC and refusing to rise, as they have been for the last ten years.

There goes the credibility of about a half of the alarmists postings on this forum over the past year then. I knew Wiki wasn't that trustworthy but I never realised it was that bad.

Your maths is out. I don't rely on Wikipedia that much, but when I do it is usually as a source of basic uncontroversial information.

Of course your credibility is shot by not being able to distinguish the fact that because some of wikipedia is allegedly dodgy not all of it. Equally, just because some "AGW people" are "alarmist" not all are.

Try using more judgement and less insults please.

As to Solomon, reading the Wikipedia logs he's clearly overstating and exaggerating his story. Furthermore, he was trying to insert politically motivated stuff from no other than US Republican senator James Inhofe (known for promoting Alan Titchmarsh as being one of his 400 "Prominent scientists who don't believe in AGW"). No surprise there.

Apologies, I was not refering to you in my previous post. Your links generally seem to be from reliable sources, and you arguments well argued in a calm non-alarmist way (although I dont tend to agree with them).

I was actually refering to the linkomaniacs (I won't name names)who used to fill pages and pages with links to Wiki and realclimate.

Didn't realise Alan Tittchmarsh didn't believe in AGW though!

Are you trying to say that holding a diploma in horticulture (and a City & Guilds!!) doesn't make you a scientist or that Alan Titchmarsh isn't prominent enough Steve Wink
