I greatly enjoyed the first Wild Thing programme but it made me wonder. How should we decide when and when not to intervene with wild animals? Is it ok to cull deer, release wild boar into forests,re-introduce wolves which may well attack sheep? How should we decide when to let Nature take its course or for us to step in and take over from Nature?

I think in many of these cases we've already stomped our size 12's all over nature - we're actually trying to undo some of the problems that we've caused.
