wow thats exactly like me in primary school. I always was scary spice LOL. I loved skipping and use those hula hoops. Ooh n hop scotch but i hated boys catch the girls or girls catch the boys.
Ooh and I loved those hand clapping songs and games n stuff lol. I was really good at them.
ahhh primary school was the best.

British bulldog was banned at my school, the teachers woudnt allow it, so it was mostly football in the playground for us. the girls would just stand and talk mostly, or play skipping games. but conkers was my favorite game because i used to win

we didnt perform bands, we performed disney stories

I used to play whats the time mr wolf and british bulldog too!
Also polo and around the world where my favourites, ooh and in the summer marbles, i was so good at that, and conkers think that was in the autumn, but the floor used to be covered in squashed conkers and get stuck all in my shoes.
Anyone else play those?

Pirates (We played this in PE, I think it was banned recently for being too dangerous)

Anyone remember these or am I the oldest person to have added to this thread? (I'm 30)

British Bulldogs was positively encouraged by our sports master.

We used to play it at the beginning of gym lessons as a way of showing anyone who thought he was "hard" the error of his ways.

The "hard" guy got to go in the middle and then the entire rugby team was called to "run" at him. Forwards first.

Couldn't get away with it nowadays!

When I was at Primary school we used to play "Neighbours" at playtime. The trouble was everyone wanted to be Charlene, so we used to end up with about 5 Charlene's. I usually ended up being Jane. lol.

Also remember playing "Blocky" which was similar to hide and seek.

And the sad thing is that kids don't even know how to play one of these games now...I recently taught them Wolfie Wolfie and they were most intrigued.. Taught the little ones 'Oranges and Lemons' (and they were totally lost). So, so, sad. What is British Bulldogs and why is it dangerous??? Think lotsa playground running games are banned - insurance crap and all that.
