I read somwhere that there is a form of dyslexia in relation to numbers. Pretty sure that I probably have it! Smile

PE. I was no good at it, the teachers had their favourites and I was especially annoyed when we started doing volleyball and I tried so hard because I really liked it (the only sport I did like) it was the only time I was picked first for teams too, yet for some reason the teacher still seemed to think I only deserved a "d" for it. Mad yet others who really didn't try (because they didn't want to break their nails) got "A" and "B" grades. I just thought sod it after that because it seemed so unfair.

Sewing/Textiles - We had a total witch of a teacher who scared everyone to death. I ended up developing a real fear of sewing/sewing machines that was still with me even years later when I had to do sewing in uni as part of a stage management module I did.

I was the same, no one understood how I could be in the top sets for english, science and everything else getting A grades; yet for maths I was in set 5 of 6 struggling to even get a 'D'.

I don't think maths is linked to learning ability, you either seem to be able to do it or you can't.

I hated History in the first year. we had this teacher tht would scare the be-jesus out of anyone. I swear I used to get tummy pains before the lesson I would feel physically sick. She kinda changed the older you got though. I imagine she was just trying to stamp her authority.

I never liked PE. At the mo it's getting quite good. I'm in the dummy group and we aren't expected to do a lot.

Chemistry drives me up the wall. Physics is good. Biology has a teacher that canot teach to save her life. I'm so gonna fail tha subject.

None of my science teachers could teacher properly, my physics teacher couldn't write..or teach, my biology teacher couldnt control the class and looked like she was going to have a nervous breakdown every 5 minutes and my chemistry teacher picked one half of the room and only decided to teacher them! Red Face No wonder I only got C's in the sciences.

LOL

I do agree, the teacher makes a great deal of difference; I moved up from a class where I was getting 'C' grades into a higher class and then promptly started getting 'D's instead.
