This is a bit of a shot in the dark, but those of you who used to watch R&J on This Morning may remember a greek (I think) plastic Surgeon. I thought his name was Theo something, does anyone remember ???

Maybe you mean Alex Karidis? There was something on tonight about plastic surgery 'gone wrong' and a Greek-sounding guy was interviewed.

THAT'S HIM ! Thanks a lot ..... I'm considering surgery and have seen one surgeon and wasn't overly impressed. Will do some research on this guy, but hoping he'd be one of the best due to his high profile.

Thanks again.

Not at all. The program I saw last night about celebrity 'plastic surgery disasters' was enough to put you off for life. Not just Jacko, but also Melanie Griffiths and Mickey Rourke. EEW! Good luck.

Mind you, it made me think of poor Judy, and how, if you're a woman over a certain age in the public eye, sometimes you can't win. We cringe at the vanity and folly of stars' constant need to 'improve' themselves and love it when it goes wrong. Yet Judy Finnigan, who famously has not had anything done to her face, gets taunts about her wrinkles and sags and about being Richard's mother. I think that's awful.

That was brilliant to remember a name like that was on a prog years ago.

I dont enjoy anones surgery going wrong, just feel sorry for them. I think a lot depends on the plastic surgeon you get. If you get a good surgeon they can do a good job. I feel some people ask for too much from a surgeon.

Well I don't really know anything about it and I don't personally know anybody who has had anything done. But when you see the Hollywood 'set', often the older ones are stretched to oblivion - their faces just look weird - and the young female stars are all botoxed and expressionless and they all seem to have those collagen lips.

I'm not planning on having my face done Big Grin I'd be too scared that I wouldn't look like me anymore, if you see what I mean.

I'm looking to have a reduction and have contacted Alex Karidis secretary already. She has given me an estimated price of £7.5K, so it's not cheap. I went to see a surgeon for a consultation last year and his price was £3.5k, but I saw a lady who'd had it done by him and my husband thought they looked like they'd been lowered Eek

Thanks a lot for your help.

7.5k seems a hell of a lot of cash to have something "done", however, I paid just under 3k for a nose job in 2002.

The day before I was due to go in for the operation, "This Morning" did a feature on "nose jobs from hell" Big Grin I decided against watching it and can fully understand SB's point about how hard it is to find someone you're happy with and can trust.

Best of luck SB Wink

Utterly ridiculous - reminds me of those African women one sees in "National Geographic" with all those rings around their elongated necks.
Some women here are no different.
Accept and use what you're born with - never a problem for me in getting my *** ****!!!
