Hi everyone. I am new to this messageboard. Please does anyone have a copy of the Richard & Judy show, which aired on 22 August 2006, as I would really love to see the interview with Laurie Brett from EastEnders? If anyone can help I would love to hear from you. Thanks in advance Lynda
If it's the Brett Laurie who is one of the Hampshire Lauries, then Brett Laurie is a gentlemen's bespoke tailor specialising in broad lapels and gussetted hunting trousers.

Isn't it time he was retired to Manchester, Leicester, Southend or just sent permanently "Up West"?
Hey, Occ Vi, do I detect a scathing quality in your comments these days? Mind you, we are talking about Ian Beale. What do you think would be a suitable exit for Boring Beale? Not shot in the woods - it's been done. Not buried under the cellar in the Vic - it's getting a bit crowded down there, what with Den's bones and all. Stabbed on New Year's Eve? Nah - that's old hat. He'll just have to leave The Square in a taxi.
I used to watch 'enders, Corrie and Brookie religiously and even used to tape them when I worked evenings in a callcentre.
I would get in around 11.30ish and watch the evening's "entertainment" that had been recorded earlier. With soaps being on almost every single night I had to stay up into the early hours so I was ready to tape the next lot the following evening.
Anyway, I had a "why the hell am I doing this?" moments about 1.30ish one morning while Phil was asking someone "Wos gowin on?". I realised I didn't care what was going on and gave up on soaps.
Being an ex-soap follower is a bit like being an ex-smoker in that tolerance of others yet to "see the light" can be a bit on the low side at times.
Ian departing in a taxi sounds like a good plan. Although he might have to book well ahead in advance as whenever I watched 'enders, I found Charlie seemed to be the only cabbie in London.

Ha ha, yes. That menacing whisper and the way he starts to breathe heavily through slightly flared nostrils (bit like a bull, really) means that Phil is on the war-path again. I do follow EastEnders. But not any of the others.
