One of my mum's work colleagues got on, I think she won £6,000.
I think they get 20,000 calls a day for it so the chances of getting on are very small. And you have to phone up straight away, not in the last ad break when they say "lines close in 2 minutes".
Is it my imagination - are the chosen contestants ..perhaps...um...er...um......um.....er...um..invariably...um...er... not up to the extremely rigorous, intellectual demands of this contest?
If so, it would seem quite wrong of R & J to fiddle with the selection of contestants in order to pay out less than would otherwise be the case.
....No, Kathy, ..I think you're tackling this from the wrong end. I think R & J should make YSWP easier, then people of all intellectual abilities would feel inclined to have a go.
Sure is keeping quiet about a whole heap of things
(and there was I thinking it was all jolly fun till I got to a certain bit, and ....erm, don't suppose this will be around for long. And yup - I was right)
Don't worry, everything's all sparkly clean this morning. The forum fairies have been sprinkling their Vim dust. It can be therapeutic to have a forum persona to let off steam anonymously, but our prolific friend of last night needs professional therapy to appreciate the concept of boundaries. The 'certain bit' was well outside any boundaries I've heard of.
