I'm sick of R&J and their attitude to flying and climate change. They both said the other night no one in Britain cares! Yes we do, just because they don't care and fly every week to their holiday home.

I agree. I'm so angry I'm going to complain. I love the show but I've switched off. Absolutely disgraceful.

I totally agree, I was horrified by the way he talk to this poor guy! I'm not saying that agree with the young bloke's view nor richard's but he was so rude.
I wanted to write to channel 4 to share my views on that but all i could find is the forum.
How dare he!!!?

Exactly. I mean i dont agree or disagree with either of the arguments. But the way Richard put his vbiews across and spoke over the guy was disgusting! This is professionalism, i'd say Paul O'Grady would have been much more motive and professional! And thats saying something! lol

I've just spent 15 mins logging on and getting myself a username etc. Just to say how rude Richard is. I thought the role of an interviewer was to ask questions, not put across there own views, especially in such a forceful way. I've never seen Richard being so forceful with politicians, celebrities or OJ Simpson. I could not tell you the political opinions of any other interviewer on TV, however it is clearer what Richards are every week. It appears all the rumours about Richards personality traits may be true.
Something needs to be done by Channel 4, as it seems Richard bullies everyone on the show and no one would dare to stand up to him.
One last thing don't think that you talk for the people what do you know about the nations thoughts. You certainly don't represent me.

I am so mad. I have searched for a number to call but have had to quickly join this forum as it was the only place I could find to report my complete disgust at this channel 4 programme. Richard was so completely unprofessional. He was blatently bullying. How that guy kept his cool was amazing and to his credit. Stick to introducing dancing dogs Richard as thats your limit professionally!!!!! I will certainly not be viewing that rubbish again. Obviously well past their sell by date......time they retired.

I disagree; I think Richard's cynical and sinister populist stance was fine. I like watching 'dancing doggies'; they are funny.

I think matt's hit the nail on the head - Richard is cynical and sinister - LOL.

Does anyone watch this show for tough journalism? No. So why did Richard suddenly decided he was fighting for the people. He is obviously completely out of touch.

[QUOTE]Originally posted by gare: This was the most awful interview i have witnessed for soem time. There is little wonder why young people are made to feel undervalued in this country. Right or wrong this chap had quite strong views on the expansion to this country`s airports. Richard playing the classic NIMBY was not under any circumstances going to let him put his case across and belittled him at every opportunity. Even Judy was embarassed. Lets bring the group back and sit Richard in the naughty corner and let a gentleman like Paul O`Grady do the interview. At least he has the courtesy to let his interviewees speak and makes informed comment.
Richard - today was a day when you should have been in your holiday cottage in Cornwall.

Mix of being poor (Holidays in Wales for the win!) and morals (Before this starts an argument, morals are subjective. What's immoral to me may not be immoral to you lot)

Have you ever thought that it was deliberately planned by Richard. It certainly has got all these new people joining. If it had been a nice mild mannered interview with each side making their case, as has been done loads of times before, then it would probably wash over peoples heads.

If it was planned by Richard then hes not fit to be on TV. I would not throw another penny at this show as its all so embaressing. Come on Channel 4 you can surely find some good talent out there to host a show which you can switch and swap with Paul O Grady. It is a cringe tv show.!!!!!!!

There is a bloke on ITV called Cotton who is on at the same time, for those of a delicate disposition. I think he is trying to be another O'Grady.

personally in my opinion i dont think its the fact on whether uve been on a plane before i believe its how many times a year you go on one and the way the government measure the carbon emmisions released from planes because from what ive been told they only calculate it from when the plane departs and not the coming back flight and alos they stop calculating it when the plane gets to a certain height. these people just wanna help the world and the way richard made out he was like sum bloody terrorist criminal who was causing trouble. I want to ring up and complain but i dont have a number, does anybody no it?

Iggnite:
just one flight a year would massively increase the personal carbon footprint of the person flying.
It is probably more realistic on counting the number of flights in a life time on the fingers of one hand, as being a more realistic figure for the total number of flights a person should take.

Corky: I have never flown in my life, but i bet i know more about the world and the way it works than Richard
