...no worries!
i know what you mean, about sitting in the sun and reading....
well....it would be lovely if my boys let me do that, of course...lol!
*sigh* but, i will have plenty of time when they are older,eh?
you deserve a break...it is nice to get away for a while and recharge batteries, so to speak.. Smile
you are definitely in need of some proper sun too! Cool

Smile Morning boysmam. It's absolutely horrible here at the moment, cool with torrential rain. Typical Monday morning! Hope the weather's better where you are and that you have a nice day. Hug

Wink When your sons get old enough to allow you to read in the sun, you'll miss them! I certainly missed mine when they left home - still do really but they've got to be allowed to lead their own lives! My neighbours are the exception, they moved up here from near London as the husband got a better job. They've got three grown up children who have all followed them up here and they are now living at home again (not a very large home either). I pity them - none of their grown up children work and their parents are working all hours to try and keep their home. Think I'd have to be telling them to try and make their own way in life!

Smile Morning boysmama. Thanks for your good wishes. Hope safe and sound, although a day late due to problems with the plane on our flight home. Apart from that, we had a great time and the weather was beautiful for most of the time, although rather "iffy" on two days. You've been reading a lot while I've been away I see. I managed to finish one book but have been so tired since we arrived home that I haven't been doing much reading. Hope you have a great weekend and speak to you soon. Hug

glad you had a great holiday and had a nice rest...did you enjoy the book that you read?
i hope that you are fully rested now and enjoying the rare sunshine days that we get now and again...it is miserable here today...the sun came out for a little while yesterday and i promised the boys, that we would go to the park today....oh well..if it is dry, we can still go..but it has been drizzling this morning!
i went to Eastbourne for a couple of days last weekend..it is a lovely place...even if the beach is full of pebbles...and very little sand! it was good to clear my head a little bit...had a bit of sun too! Cool
i know how tiring the actual travelling can be, even if it is only a couple of hours on the aeroplane...i remember when we went to Australia..that was tiring...long flights with 2 little boys and their smoker father...bliss....not!lol...it was better than i expected it would be though, and it was the younger one that became more restless after time...the older one was happy watching the videos etc....or course i would have cheerfully throttled their father by the time we got to Singapore! Roll Eyes lol...
i finished "The Cupid Effect" last week, and i have just finished reading "Marshmallows for Breakfast" by Dorothy Koomson.....a great book..a bit emotional and it covers some real serious issues..but a good read...
i am not sure which one i am going to read next....possibly the Judy Piccoult that i have sitting by my bed...
a friend of mine is reading "Atonement" at the moment, it sounds interesting but i am not sure if i want to read it or not...maybe later...
anyway..i hope that you are ok...
have a great weekend, take care of yourself..

Big Grin Hi boysmama. Nice to hear from you. Blimey - you've been reading a lot lately! I read Snow Blind by P.J. Tracy while I was away -it's a thriller and I really enjoyed it. I'm reading The Loner by Josephine Cox at the moment but it's not really my kind of book. I should have known not to buy it, she's never been one of my favourite authors but I was in a hurry that day and didn't see anything else than I fancied reading while on holiday. Been another lovely day here today - I've been in the garden most of the afternoon, weeding and trimming the lawn edges - the back garden is very large and takes quite a lot of looking after. Having said that, I love being out when the weather's decent. Hope you have a great weekend and don't work too hard. Hug

haha! i know...i have had a few late nights reading my books just lately...then the boys get me up early in the morning...ouch! Big Grin
i have got The Loner too...haven't got to it yet...will do later..
i agree with you, Josephine Cox isn't my usual kind of author..but the story seemed interesting enough...
i have heard of 'Snow Blind' by P.J. Tracy...i think that Rothgar was looking for it a while ago....ooh, i like thrillers! i just don't read many...i read 'The Poet' by Michael Connelly a few years ago...that was a good one, and 'Tell No One' by Harlen Coben..probably not real thrillers but good all the same...
i was in the library, studying, last Saturday morning...and the SUN was shining...how sad am I? lol...
oh well...
i am glad that you have managed to get some time in the garden...the sun is great...but it doesn't appear very often.. Roll Eyes Cool
i daresay the boys will keep me busy this weekend, as usual...but i am always glad of not having to rush around, as with the school mornings...but i still have shopping and other stuff to do etc...
half-term week after next....i have mixed feelings...hehehe...
have a great weekend....take care of yourself...
xxx Hug

Cool Morning boysmama. I've read some of Harlen Coben books - he's very good. Dull here this morning at the moment but hopefully it'll brighten up later! I never minded half-term when my boys were young - it was the 6 week Summer break that I hated - you just can't keep two active kids entertained for 6 weeks! Hope you enjoy your weekend and see some sun. Hug

half-term will be ok..i am hoping to take them to a science museum...the one where they have lots of fun things for the kids to do...otherwise..it will be trips to the park..if it is dry, of course.. Cool
it's dull here too...i have the same thought as you...hoping that it will brighten up later...
have a good weekend...

Cool Morning corkman and boysmama. You'll have to ask boysmama about Knit&Stitch, I haven't got a clue I'm afraid.

Big Grin Morning again boysmama. Lovely day here yesterday and again this morning - fingers crossed! I've finished The Loner and it actually got better as I got into it. I'm about to start reading Fatal Attraction by Carol Smith - will let you know what it's likely when I've read it. Enjoy your day. Hug
