Hi Muggy, how are you today. I'm fine apart from the weather, it's blowing a gale and is very cold and wet.

I've had a lazy day in with my book, nothing could have tempted me out today. I haven't got a dog to walk!

Hopefully the forum is sorted out now.
Take care Wave

Smile Hi gaslamps. Lucky you, having a lazy day! Don't blame you though. Unfortunately, I don't sleep too well even when I've had loads of exercise, so I probably wouldn't sleep at all if I had a lazy day. Enjoy your weekend. Hug Wave

:Wave Hi Muggy, how are you today.
Poor you having sleep problems, I can imagine that must be awful, thankfully I don't have that problem.

By the way how are you getting on with 'The Charmer' have you managed to finish it yet?
I read that and I thought it was ok but I have read better! At the moment I am reading 'Run for Home' by Sheila Quigley, it is very good and I have trouble putting it down LOL

Smile Hi Gaslamps. I'm fine thanks. I have actually finished "The Charmer" and like you, have read much better - can't see what all the fuss was about it! I've just started reading "Oystercatchers" by Susan Fletcher and am enjoying it. Apparently, she also wrote "Eve Green" which was winner of the Whitbread First Novel prize and also a Richard and Judy Book Club bestseller. Hope you are keeping well - speak to you soon. Take care. WaveHi Muggy, hope your well. Did you have a good week-end. Mine was OK mostly spent getting ready for my holiday LOL still, nearly there just three days to go. Clapping

I haven't had much time for reading either, although I did finish Sheila Quigley 'Run For Home' which I thoroughly enjoyed. I also found time to but two more books to take with me Nod
Take care - speak soon Big Grin

I'm still ploughing through "The Charmer" - don't seem to have much time to read these days since I've inherited the dog! I have read one or two of Martina Cole's novels Gaslamps but I found them rather too violent for my taste, although she's an excellent authoress.
We had a beautiful day here yesterday in N. Lincolnshire but it's very cold and very windy here today unfortunately.
Speak to you soon. Take care. Hug Wave

Hi there Muggy and Boysmama, hope your both well.
I don't know what is going on with this forum!! I come on most days, but this is the first time I have seen this post Confused I would have replied sooner. hiya Gaslamps!
hey! i hear you! i had the same INTERNAL SERVER ERROR thing constantly coming up...
i complained to C4 and it was sorted out...i don't even know why that it kept coming up with that! i thought that i had posted something that i wasn't supposed to..lol..
then i had problems with my pc..which is why it has taken so long to get back here...
how are you doing? what are you reading these days?
has anyone started on the latest booklist from R&J yet?
chat soon...

Smile Hi Boysmama. So pleased to see you posting again. Thought you'd gone off us! Sorry you're feeling under the weather - I'm sure you'll improve when the sun starts shining and the temperature rises. My hubby and dog are fine, thanks - I'm still walking him three times a day (the dog I mean, not my hubby!) but it means that I don't have to diet any more - my weight has been stable for about 6 weeks now which is good, as I do like my food! I've just started reading "Oystercatchers" by Susan Fletcher - quite a complex book but I'm enjoying it at the moment. Apparently she is the author of "Eve Green" which was the winner of the Whitbread first novel and also a R & J Book Club Bestseller. Will let you know how I fare when I've finished it. Like you, I don't seem to get much time to read these days but at least I don't get bored. Look after yourself. Hug Wave

Hi Muggy and Boysmama! hope your both well.
I had a great holiday thanks for asking. It was quite cloudy a lot of the time and we did have one days rain Shake Head, but we still enjoyed every minute Nod

I have recently discovered Sheila Quigley. She has only written four books so far. More to come I hope lol - have you read any of her books?
I have read 'Run for Home' and I am now reading 'Bad Moon Rising' and I thoroughly recommend them. Although they are crime they are not as violent as Martina Cole.
How is your reading going?
Bye for now. Take care xx

Razz Hi Gaslamps. Pleased you enjoyed your holiday. I don't think I've read Sheila Quigley but will probably give her a go when I've finished reading Oystercatchers. Speak to you soon. Hug Wave

Take care speak soon Hug

hi muggy and gaslamps!!
it seems i have left it a while before posting again....ooooppps!!!
sorry!
thanks for your good wishes...you did make me chuckle with your dog walking comment...does hubby not get out for walks then....;D
i am ok now...although i am worried about my eldest boy..he may have slapped cheek, but not sure..

i have managed to read 3 books in the last 2 weeks or so...
the forst one was In her Sister's shoes by Sinead Moriarty..
a great book...it was one of those that has you laughing one minute and tearful the next..
it is set in Ireland..one sister had gone off to london to seek fame and fortune..the other stayed at home to be a wife and mum..
it is the homely sister that becomes ill..and the other sister has to come home..it is an easy read...it took me 2 days! but then one of those days was Mum's Day!
i have also read The Chocolate Run by Dorothy Koomson...a very good book..took a bit longer to read...and it did get me yearning for chocolate on many occasions..lol...
that book is about a girl who gets closer to her male friend..and they...well....they get on extremely well etc...
but...they are both commitment phobics....there are a few twists and turns etc....
then i read, In Search of Adam by Caroline Smailes...
this is a bit of a pyschological book...about a 6 year old girl who discovers her mum on the bad..having committed suicide..
the little girl is deemed as strange...and she goes through some awful things...
all of the questions do get answered eventually..with an inevitable ending...
but there were times when i just felt angry because this was a little girl who had to deal with such adult things on her own...with consequences, of course...

gaslamps! glad you had a great holiday...
hope you are well....

i am surprised that i have managed to make time for loads of books....but i have had a few late nights..lol!!

take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

You don't realise how much you depend on it until you haven't got it do you LOL.
Your doing well with your reading - they do sound like very good books, I have already made a note of them lol.
In have just finished Sheila Quigley's Living on a prayer, It was ok, a little bit slow not as good as the other two. I am still looking for her last book 'Every Breath I take' it's proving difficult to get hold of I'm going to try on 'that auction site' lol
