Yes a dissappointing programme. Richard hardly related to the panellists at all, so nothing much developed. He needed to be more open, relaxed, rather than treating it as a mission to be accomplished in his own zone.
Remarkable and incredible lack of interest in the guest panellists. Even if it's only pretended interest etc., one of the programmes incredients, is to mock etc. for general amusement, the guests. Or, perhaps, I'm wrong and am posting nonsense.
I thought he did an excellent job, in fact way better then a lot of them. Don't know where all this about him looking nervous comes from. Looked really relaxed to me. Way better then that bore Jack Dee. Well done Richard. Now Judy's turn next.
I do wish people who make bold assertions would qualify them. Otherwise, they're not worth a farthing. My criticism, for example, is amplified by saying no interest in the guest panellists. This is verifiable by observing the lack of questioning and repartee between Richard and the guest panellists.

And it's the same clique who can't wait to put the boot in no matter what Richard and Judy do, so I wouldn't trust a word they say. Dear oh dear fancy having to resort to 5 smileys.

I enjoyed Richard on Whose line and thought he did a very credible job. Since Deaton was fired it's been very hit and miss. I would prefer a permanent chairman and seeing Clive Anderson on there he is the only person to fit the bill. He is on the same wavelength as Hislop and Merton.

That's interesting. Except that the rest of us are discussing Richard on Have I Got News For You. Whose Line Is It Anyway hasn't been made in the UK since 1998. (I won't keep you any longer, because there's just time for you to catch Richard now in 1960 on 'Face to Face' with John Freeman.)

Are you sure you don't mean "Down Your Way" usually it was Wynford Vaughan Thomas but Richard may have guested.
Oh dear! I am almost afraid to post my opinion on Richards performance on Friday evening on Have I Got News For You, I also thought he did look a little nervous at the beginning but soon settled, relaxed and enjoyed the show. All five seemed to enjoy the light hearted mickey taking and I am not ashamed to admit I also watched the extended version.
I am also counting the days to their return as,although I have enjoyed a couple of the POG shows, I have had enough now.
Happy Christmas to all who post on here regardless of their opinions.
yes! HAPPY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE...and a Merry New Year...
