So how are all the people that used to tune into Richard and Judy enjoying Terry's quiz? Is it a good replacement? I tried to watch two episodes and have given up. I found it totally mind- numbingly futile and boring .

Not seen any of it yet and don't intend to start.
I used to watch R&J on C4+1 mainly, so tend to watch the news instead now.
R&J's new show will be called "New Position".
I'd love to know how many "thought showers" went into that little gem
"Watch, which launches on October 7 using capacity currently occupied by UKTV Gold +1, will be dominated by reruns of contemporary programming ranging from Cranford to Planet Earth. In primetime, Richard and Judy's show will sit alongside the latest season of US Strictly series, Dancing with the Stars."
I'm no media expert, but ending up on a channel that is mainly repeats and US imports, hardly seems worth the upheaval.
They don't need the money, so why don't they just give it all a miss, put their feet up in leafy Hampstead, write their books and retire ?
TERRY Wogan has delighted Channel 4 bosses by pulling in MORE viewers than Richard and Judy. Now they are set to hand the Irish smoothie an extended run of his show Perfect Recall.
An insider said: “Channel 4 will make a decision at the end of the run, but it’s a foregone conclusion.”
The Radio 2 legend, 70, has fronted the game show for only a week, replacing Richard and Judy in their old 5pm slot. But it is averaging 1.4million viewers — 400,000 more than for the husband and wife duo.
The insider said: “Terry’s over the moon as it is always a risk following an established show. But fortunately it’s paid off. He agreed to make four weeks’ worth but he told producers he’d be happy to do more. He’s loving doing a regular show on TV.”

Well, it seems extraordinary thing to do when everyone knows it is a wig. Why bother when it's common knowledge ? Surely the point of a wig is that no one knows the person wearing it hasn't got any/much hair ?

Actually it's Wogan who is being hairist, by plonking someone else's hair on his head, he's saying you won't be loved or appreciated unless you have hair.
