Is emmanuelle (the first) a porn film, or just a film with lots of sex scenes in it. I was watching the prog on it the other night and it kinda made it out to be porn, i always thought it was just a regular film with los of sex scenes(because it was in the cinemas - i know it created a big hoo ha but...) does anyone know the answer to this?

I saw this film a few years ago, and I certainly remembering it to be more soft-core than real porn. There certainly was'nt any actually sexual acts in it, mostly it was just simulated.

It's a soft-porn movie based upon a series of pornographic novels by Emmanuelle Arsan. The early movies weren't very explicit and were more like erotic movies but the later sequels came closer to straightforward soft-porn.

Emmanuelle is crap.

They play a lot of the Emmanuelle films on the Sci-fi channel, like Emmanuelle is Space, etc. I assume they're the same thing as they are also soft-porn like.

I think the film originally starred Sylvia Kristel, but as porn films go, it was probably considered the first legally able to show film. As I remember it, dodgy music soundtrack, limp acting and limp acting again
