iwas wondering what people thought if content matters in films as long as it justifiable to the context of the film. i think it does matter in some extremes of film what do you think?

Context is certainly the BBFC's mantra - if it can be justified within the context of the film then they will pass it - if its just there for gratuitous purposes they tend to frown on it....thus Irreversable was passed uncut but I Spit on your Grave wasn't....
Context is also the argument with genre- ie you can get away with a lot more if its meant humourously - Jackson's Braindead got a lot more through than if it had been a serious film....
