I find C4's rallying call against censorship, especially with regards to politics, hypocritical. Who can remember C4 banning a documentary about Bradford. Edge Of The City I think it was called. There seems to be a left wing bias when it comes to censorship. The recent C4 'banned' programmes have been dominated by examples of Conservative political censorship in the 80's and 90's. What about since? I'm not a Conservative voter by the way, not that that matters, but there are examples of recent censorship. The one above a prime example. And 'political correctness' is the most sinister form today, yet it is tolerated.
I found it laughable, although quite frightening too, that some of the early 'Only Fools and Horses episodes' have been censored. I did expect that it would be sooner or later considering this politically correct climate we have. It is one thing to censor something current; altogether different to censor the past. That really does smack of Orwell's Big Brother.
