How thoughtful - just in time for Easter (not). There could be better ways of commemorating the holiest part of the year I suppose. You can't blame anyone either as there is a lot of ignorance as to the depth, richness and value of Christianity as most seem to have been brought up on the traditional ritualistic version. Anyhow, no-one seems to have had the courage to produce "The last temptation of Mohammed" but if they had, Channel 4, why not show a lack of discrimination and show that too!
Interesting to see it's still having a shocking effect, even now.. I myself have not seen this film, but it ws obviously put on a banned season, and had a warning..so..there is no excuse to whine about it really.
It is quite a good film, but have to apprach it with an open mind to really watch it. One can understand the controversy surrounding it, Monty Pythons' The Life of Brian' caused a huge amount of controvesy from Christians wanting it banned when that was released in 1979. And that was a very British comedy at heart.
