I've been 2 New york but not for new years eve though. I went with my college. It was absolutely brilliant there and I definitely wanna go again. Its got just as much things to see and do there, as London has. Its a really lively and a bustling city day and night, but its even better if u tour the city at night, all the bright lights are there and the shops closes quite late as well. I went many places including central park, macy's (so big that i almost got lost in it to find the checkout!) little italy, chinatown, went on the subway (its a bit confusing to use), the museum of modern art - MoMA, the empire state building, ground zero, times square (u shud go here escpecially at night cos it looks amazing) and many others. If u ever get the chance 2 go, I wud definitely advise u 2 go.
