Have got a holiday booked to Cancun for early April 2006 with a large tour operator, have been trying to find out whether the hotel is still standing etc. Went into the travel agent to find out if they knew any more than i did to be told that they were still flying customers out all this three weeks after Wilma when most hotels had no water, no food and infact cancun's own airport wasnt open. When i questioned them on this they said that as i obviously knew more than them i should go back to the internet to research more. They have since posted no flights until mid december. It turns out that this particular branch had even taken bookings on my hotel at a time when it wasnt open!!
Do not rely on travel agents, do your own research!
