We signed up for their 35 month introductory deal. And paid a deposit.
Did some research when we got home, and realised it wasn`t as cheap as they made out. So phoned them up on the monday and cancelled.
Didn`t get any Argos vouchers at the time, as they had run out. Didn`t get any sent to us afterwards either. Didn`t even get the "free" holiday.
No mention at all during the presentation about the points system, even though my friend is a paid up member on the points system (which I didn`t know until AFTER I attended the presentation). So I should imagine that the conversion to points would be made at the presentation in the resort.
My friend is very happy with her membership, but it`s not as cheap as the presentation makes it out to be.
For the trial membership of 3,500 for 6 holidays (which includes the prelude)is approx £600 per holiday. Which doesn`t seem bad for a holiday for 6 people. But then you add on the cost of the flights for those same 6 people, which for Tenerife I couldn`t find many for less than £200 each, and it puts the price of the holiday way out of our reach.
A package holiday booked thru the travel agents may not neccessarily be the height of luxury that CLC boast, but at least you know what the TOTAL cost is before you pay for it.
Oh and our presentation lasted 5 hours, and it wasn`t as if we were reluctant to sign.
