Can anyone recommend any cheap but excellent holiday companies online? the best Ive found is portland holidays but do have any better suggestions please?
hi, it's a bit time consuming doing all the fundraising, but most charities will send you on fortnight trips to amazing places for under £500, then you raise a certain amount (often £2,500) for the charity and it covers the cost of your trip. A good way to see the real world on the cheap whilst feeling slightly worthy! Only really works for those who like active holidays though
cheap is always good but be careful that the company u book with is ABTA/ATOL and IATA bonded. This mean that if there are any problems with ur holiday like fco advise against travelling there when ur away, flight/hotel or tour operator goes squit then u will be brought home. If you book with a company without these bondings then u could be stuck on holiday!! Just a friendly warning, also stay away from Media Tarvel/UK Travel Shop as they are based in India and are not a legal travel company.
actually, i've found that if you go to a travel agent and explain you need a cheap deal they can usually put something together using low cost airines and hotels that they know of.
Also, a great money saver i've found is (if you're not driving to the airport - it's usually just a cheap to get a choach anyway) to say you are happy to fly fro, and arrive back at 2 different airports (say gatwick and heathrow) even 2 different airlines. That way you're buying 2 one ways rather than paying for extra for the convenience of 'matching them up', when it really makes no difference whether you fly there and back on the same airline.
I use cosmos and first choice, both do good on-line deals. lastminute.com is OK, but I tend to find they never have quite what I'm looking for: I'm fussy though!
I wouldn't recommend expedia: I find them pricey for a 'cheap' site, and often the cost that's first displayed jumps up massively when you actually go in to book with taxes etc
Also, travelsupermarket.com compares prices from about 5 different companies, I'd recommend having a look at that
The thing that tends to make holidays expensive is more the place you go and what you're after than anything else. I quite fancied cyprus this year, but it was just going to be too expensive, so I'm going to Turkey instead. The broader your criteria the better really
I’m getting you very well, and also I understood that what’s your planning. Your planning is good, I will suggest for turkey. It's very good place, we can get all this things there...
