I'm a fairly well traveled person, been to the US several times now but I wonder if someone could answer a couple of questions for me.

I'm looking to go to New Orleans and maybe do it as a twin centre with Memphis or Nashville (or both).

The prices I've seen so far are absolutely extortionate for a flight to either of these cities. You can get a return to SFO or LAX for half the price! Just wondering if anyone else has been or has got any ideas to do it reasonably cheaply????

If I do N.O as a city break (4 or 5 nights) I don't really wanna spend more than 650 for flights and accommodation.

Best bet is to somewhere else, i.e not to fly direct. Can be very tiresome but financially worth it.

Myself and other half went to LA/Vegas last year, but we didnt fly direct, we flew from London Gatwick to Dallas, Texas then Dallas to LA. On the way back we flew LA to New York then back to Gatwick.

There was a really good deal with American Airways and as of yet they are the best company we've flown with ! You get soo much leg room and also the shorter flights there was hardly anyone on them !
