I feel it only fair to place on this forum a few facts about That'll Teach Em. Although the kids had a good idea of what they were letting themselves in for it still came as a huge shock..I am sure they thought that when the filming was over for the day we would all be jolly and slip back into our normal role...nope! As far as I am concerned the kids (on the whole) took the experiment and got into it, enjoyed it, and hopefully learnt something from it. Ask yourselves and answer honestly would you really have done any better. Yes it was hard for them to live without mobiles when its normally stuck in their ear for most of the day,yes its hard not being able to contact mum and dad except by letter, yes its hard having 40hrs of lessons a week instead of 28,yes its hard changing a diet to 50s grub for some..but they did it and credit to them. No we did,nt go back to 2005 when the cameras stopped rolling ..we all stayed in role and that was because we wanted the experience to be as realistic as we could make it. So please peeps give the kids credit where its due.
The best is yet to come...it really is a brilliant show and its down to the kids, a brilliant producer and outstanding crew, and a remarkably talented set of teachers.
Us oldies are bound to keeep pointing out how different it seems to our day, but certainly in my case, do not take anything I write as critical of those who are taking part. They are volunteers and a great bunch of kids and it's brave of them to go in for this, especially with half the nation watching them!
Thank You Matron, for supporting us always.I appreciate your words of wisdom when I wanted 2 leave and cried in your arms -The best is yet to come I agree~hehe...Take care x HOLLIE xxx
Yeah. I would have found it really hard. Plus the fact you are being filmed. That must add to the pressure. I had respect for the people who took part.

I know my experience was different i was educated in school in the early 80's but alot of my teachers were masters(trained in the 50's) and we had similar teaching processes...
