Here-here! headmistress. I don't know why they want to make this the last. All three of them so far have had good reviews from the press and they seem to have a devoted following!
Kayleigh, now thinkabout this! Yhe great strength of THAT'LL TEACH EM is that every group os unique so therefore is the series. Take a look back to the first series THE KINGS SCHOOL and how different you all are.
The first one was more of a social comment, the last one had tones of Big Brother and the 'savvy' pupils playing up to the camera.
I am finding it difficult to get into this one as the cameras are more interested in showing emotions from the pupils than showing how schooling was back in the 50s and 60s.
If the format could go back the first one, if there could be a website with old 11+ papers for us to have a go at, if there could be 1960s GCE papers - great.
**Just wants to pass some time without any hassle**
I have enjoyed every series. Each one has been different and interesting. I like seeing how schooling was in different decades. I hope they do another series.
I would think its highly unlikely that another one will be commissioned. Whatever will I do with myself this summer?
1.9 million is well down on previous series unless everyone watches it next week. It says its the school production next tuesday..surely its too early. I think they have got it wrong.
I agree and to use the coin of phrase they are throwing the baby out with the bath water.
It was a mistake not to show the series as it was filmed as in previous years - and the atmosphere was different due to the single sex classes.
Maybe too whrn you visit thre website you get the impression the decision had already been made ........... only a few pipils profiles and very little about the staff.
Another thought, many of the promo photos used this time in magazones etc were of the last series!! How many people did not watch this one as they thought at first site it was just a repoat seroes.
They see determined to end this great project - WHY?
There just has to be another one, i've watched it for the past few years and I'm now 16 and old enough to apply for it, so please don't make me mad because i'm a good boy really I am
I've talked to one of the producers of TwentyTwenty and as enthusiastic as they are about having another series they say the final decision is in the hands of channel 4, so pleaseeeeeeeee channel 4 commission another series.
However perhaps if they focused on a different age group. What about AS or A level students. what about perhaps a comparision between the Scottish and English systems?? There are a lot of different possibilities. Isn't ther a show called "You have it easy" which sounds very like That'll Teach them but with families
