He was a scary bloke back at school, used to terify me and all my classmated in to doing our homework. However much he used to scare me in my younger years, i discoverd in my 6th form that he is actually a genuinely nice chap.
Now the man is a celebrity, keep up the good work.
Yes that is Pecker, I had him for Latin and he was 10 times scarier then than he is now on TV! Those kids are so lucky I still think he was one of the best teachers i ever had and one of the best directors of the school play! Decent block all round
He seems to have become a bit of a media tart these days.
As far as I can remember he has not only been in every episode of That'll Teach 'Em but he was also in another reality show last year. Can't remember the name of the thing, maybe someone else remembers it, but it was about neighbours from hell. They took several households who would all be difficult to live near (rowdy drunken students, people with lots of dogs, unruly children etc.) and plonked them down in a temporary settlement in the middle of the moors somewhere. Mr Warr was the interfering busybody type who goes around forming residents' committes and so on.
Mr Warr was undoubtably the best teacher I was taught by at R.H.S, shame really that he didn't teach me French during my G.C.S.E years. One of the few that understood me, and gave me a chance. Was harsh at times but fair.
what year were u at RHS? I left 1999 Pecker was one of the best teachers. Do you remember his stint on Noels House Party as Garry Glitter in 1997? Since then he's been all over the TV. Many times i have had flashbacks when he comes on TV!
hi kmhayward, I left RHS in '91, just after it went co-ed. Simon was always abit crackers, ever come into your lessons doing John Cleese's funny walk, or he would moonwalk across the classroom, made lesson fun, and pupils wanted to learn
yeah wasn't him on that show where a bunch of people, including some students, a family with loads of unruly kids and a woman with dogs all had to live together on an island.. he was the token nosey neighbour. What was that show called?
Look at all the RHS people on this site! Have already posted re Si Warr, he taught me French GCSE and as already stated although completely harsh at times he was always fair and an all round food guy. Unlike a certain geography teacher, threw chalk dusters, green suit funny smell, ginger hair. You know who you are WW!
