I know that as an aging male I will be accused of prejudice, but it seems to me, judging by last night's episode that the boys, in general, are settling in better than the girls. This seemed to me to show up in the biology lesson, the sports field and tackling the food. The boys are accepting the position they are in and getting on with it. The lasses seem to be refusing and objecting to everything.
Well I am an aging female :-) but I would tend to agree with tradman on this one.
The thing I find most peculiar - as I did in the very first series - was the reaction of many of the girls to the food. For goodness sake it's not as if they were being asked to eat anything so bizarre is it? Stew, offal etc - OK you might not make them your first choice but if they are put in front of you then it can't be so hard to get them down.
What are they used to eating at home?
I have taught my daughter (who is ten) that if she is given something she dislikes it is important to be able to eat at least some of it because if she is given something when a guest in someone else's home it would be impolite to refuse it completely.
i am a girl but i too think that the boys are doing better. they are getting on with it and i think so far they look closer if you know what i mean, whereas the girls are rowing
Life's not short....its the longest thing you will ever have
