Unusual for a virus to kick in so early in the start-up, humus Confused

Possibly a trojan horse that left something nasty behind. Glad AVG got rid of it, can't recommend that software highly enough Big Grin

Try downloading Spybot Search+Destroy. This, and Adaware SE, should compliment AVG nicely Smile

I leave the Firewall to you, personal taste, and all that. I've just uninstalled Sygate and installed ZoneAlarm. As I said, personal taste, nothing wrong with Sygate Cool

Quote from The Daughter, "We're getting a PS2 for Dads 40th Birthday present" Eek

So I need suggestions for decent PS2 games, not the new stuff, I need to catch up!! Platinum games are probably more up my street Big Grin Big Grin

I've heard that PS2 will play PS1 games and make them look better than PS1??

SSX Tricky is a top snowboarding game which is very addictive and great fun for the family(good sountrack too,one or two implied swear words though).
A lot of titles have just gone platinum.MOH Frontline and Rising Sun are way cool, and a good 18+cert game is The Getaway.Tescos have a big selection and are doing 2 Platinum for £30 at the mo.

Thanks Owain Smile

I don't have any of the MOH games on PC, so I'll have to start getting them on PS2. Are they FPS games? If so, how do they play on a console rather than mouse and keyboard?

I've seen Call of Duty on X-Box, but not on PS2, although I think that's one game I'd prefer on PC.

Any decent racing (car and m'bike) games on PS2? Big Grin

Been to a Computer Fair this morning, Daughter was playing Prince of Persia on a demo PS2, had to drag her off it Big Grin Big Grin

Also saw Halo 1 for £10 (PS2, used) Cool

Just Google for P.S 2 reviews, there are loads of dedicated sites that are a mine of info on what to buy...and more importantly what not to.
MOH has a choice of two ways to set up an analogue game pad, both very easy to control.
If youve never played MOH with a pad capable of vibration feedback your in for a treat.
Try the games on hire at your local video shop before you buy from new by the way.

I've bought second hand PC games from Blockbuster before, but never hired games. I'll give it a try after Christmas Big Grin

I've got a Thrustmaster feedback gamepad for the PC, but that's not as good as the PS1 gamepad. Hope the PS2 feedback pad is as good as the PS1 Big Grin

Got Rome: Total War when it came out...and it's dead cool, IMO.
Some of the accents are a bit dodgy when it comes to mercenaries and the Gauls, Britons, etc...but I like it - especially when I've got loads of archers and send an arrow storm raining down on Gallic Naked Warriors (Germanic Screeching Women is good, too...).

Just completed it as the Julii, and already feel the need to start again! Smile

No PS2s to be had until end of January Eek Eek

Don't know how true it is, but the story I heard was that a container ship full of PS2s heading up the Suez Canal behind an oil tanker. The tanker gets grounded, container ship can't pass it or turn round (obviously!) So tens of thousands of PS2s stuck in the Suez Canal Roll Eyes Frown

Including MINE!! Mad Frown Mad Frown Mad
